The UK Government is fully committed to fighting the levels of CO2 produced by households using inefficient energy technology and one way they are combating these levels are with the introduction of two schemes, one for photovoltaic solar panels, the other for solar water heaters, both of which are below.
Photovoltaic Solar Panels Grants
Though grants at a national level have stopped due to the introduction of the Feed in Tariff Scheme which allows you to resell your electricity to your supplier as well as receiving a subsidy for producing green energy. It is however still possible to get a grant from your local authority. By receiving expert advice from our local solar panel installers you can find out if your area supports solar panels grants, or of course you can contact them direct.
Solar Water Heater Grants
If you’re thinking of installing a solar water heater or similar systems then there is actually a government scheme in place which could save you a lot of money. In fact the grant offers a saving of £400 or 30% installation price (whichever is the lesser of the two), though this is only for a limited period and subject to the allocated budget. The simplest way to find out if you qualify for solar panels grants is to complete our quote form and ask the experts.
